I have had bright blood in my stools before which I assume is hemorrhoids because it usually occurs after several trips to the bathroom pooping water. For the past week or so I am getting more heartburn, my stomach is burning,, I am having pains similar to menstrual cramps and having darker blood in the stool. It is not tarry or black. I seem to b ok in the morning but by afternoon I have blood in the stool. It is definitely different than before. I am having hernia surgery in a few days and am scared
