Can Bleeding In A Child S Inner Ear After Poking It Be Dangerous?

My daughter stuck a q-tip in my 3 years son ear. He said it hurt for about 5 minutes. Then went about playing for the rest of the day. The next day I noticed dried blood. I carefully cleaned the dry blood on the outside of ear. When looking inside with flashlight I notice some blood. He says it does not hurt. I am just concerned about the blood. what do you think is causing the bleeding??

ENT Specialist 's  Response
Hi, thanks for your query.
In my opinion, Q tip usually injures the ear canal.
Bleeding can be from the canal itself.
It can damage the ear drum also.
Please don't clean or meddle with your son ear.
If he complains of reduce hearing or tinnitus, then there are chances of injury to ear drum.
No active treatment is needed.
But I would suggest you to consult with the ent specialist and get a check up done.
Hope my answers have helped you. Thanks.
