Can Birth Control Pills Treat Urinary Incontinence?

For many months now my period has been extremely heavy to the point where a pad and tampon only do the job for a few hours so I am going on birth control very soon here now. But my question is that when I am off my period, I have so much discharge and it feels like I peed my pants and I can t shout loud, laugh, or jump when I m standing or it ll be a huge mess down there. If I go on birth control, will it also help my discharge issue? I just want to live my life and not worry about discharge

Hi.

Discharge could be a sign of an infection, which will require a detailed and most elaborate evaluation. This could also be the reason behind your heavy menstrual bleeding, and so I would first recommend an elaborate blood profile along with an STD-panel to be conducted, with a urine analysis, urine culture and sensitivity, and vaginal swab test to look for any such causes and treat them accordingly. Please do not feel shy or ashamed for any reason, all this happens and there is no reason why a doctor cannot help you get rid of this.

Best wishes.
