Can Back Surgery Result In Back Spasms And Leg Pain?

in march 2010 i had L4 L5 back surgery, the surgeon said he took out more of the disc than he originally thought he would have to, i was still getting back spasms in the general area of the L4 L5 and my legs hurting all day every day.
February 2011, i had an epidural, this has not worked, i still get back spasms from 1 -20 times a day & they really hurt,my legs still hurt all day everyday.

Hi
Welcome to healthcaremagic
After going through your query I concluded that suffering from chronic backache. You has been already operated for disc prolapse. Epidural also not worked. I think you should exclude vitamin and trace element deficiency as a cause of it. You can get vitamin D3 and vitamin B12 level to see for the cause. You can get fresh MRI to look for the cause.Till then you can take EvionLC , Mecobalamine and vitamin D3 (If it is low). Analgesic such as ibuprofen can be taken for pain. You can discuss with your treating Doctor about it. Hope your query get answered. If you have any further questions then don't hesitate to writing to us . I will be happy to help you.
