hi, in patients with fatty liver, SGPT may be mildly elevated. Studies have shown that weight reduction can normalize fatty liver and can bring back liver tests to normal range. on the contrary, fatty liver, over time can become permanent and can lead to liver damage. I strongly recommend you to exercise and loose weight for this reason. Hope this helped.
