Can Anxiety Cause Uncontrollable Hypertension?

Moderate chronic neck pain for last 5 years, after a car accident. Also patient got r occipital nerve injury after a car accident.In May 2014 became very lethargic, hypertensive with heart palpitations, anxiety, depression, joint swelling r shoulder and left hand. She also got insomnia and extremely sharp pain in her neck and occipital area. BP was the highest up to 210/110, and she saw neurologist, cardiologist, orthopedic, internist, nephrologist and family physician and chiropractor. She was hospitalised because of this condition for uncontrollable hypertension and heart palpitations 2x in hospital, and was told that it was caused by panic attacks and neck injury after she had car accident.
