Can Antibiotics Interfere With The Efficacy Of PEP?

Hi I have recently started taking Truvada as PEP after a broken condom incident. I at the same time have come down with tonsillitis, my regular gay friendly GP can t see me at short notice so I m going to a different doctor to get some antibiotics but i m not keen on telling some random doctor that I m on PEP. Can antibiotics interfere with the efficacy of PEP? Regards

hello sir.i am glad you asked this question and i am happy to help.the tonsillitis antibiotics will not interfere with the truvada. But since you have been exposed,i request you to get a complete blood picture test done to be on safe side.if exposure time was more than 2-5 days, then i request you not to wait for your regular doctor ,if he is not available, then contact other doctor and get the tests done.

hope i have answered your question.
