Can Antibiotics Harm The Foetus?
hi doctors,i'm 11 weeks pregnant and my widal test report shows,typhoid(o) positive 1:160. but i used to have fever in the evening only 99 degree and not more than that.but there was only 98 degree since last three days.......is that the real typhoid? should i use any antibiotics? or not using antibiotics more harm my baby.........well i am a staff nurse proffessionally...........but i'm very much worried.........i'd be much greatful to u if u really help me..........awaiting your reply.i'm 24 years old and 5 feet 4 inch.

You are positive for typhoid along with the presence of fever since few days so infection is definitely there.
You should start antibiotics as soon as possible.
Fever can result in abortion because of interference with blood flow to the fetus.
