Can Antibiotics Cure Itchy Rashes On My Hands, Thighs, Feet And Ankles?
I have an intensely itchy red rash on my back of hands, front and side of both thighs, top of feet and ankles. My ankles, calves and thighs are extremely swollen and skin is very tight and uncomfortable. I have been scratching at it like I am trying to get to an itch that is a few layers of skin down. I believe it has now become infected. What could it be and what s kind of antibiotics can treat it? Please help
It seems to be an eczematous rash. I would recommend you to apply topical steroid like cortisone cream on the affected areas twice daily, tablet chlorpheniramine maleate 4 mg twice daily and take antibiotic like tablet Cephalexin twice daily for 7-10 days. This should resolve your rash.
