Can Anal Itching With Rectum Lumps Be Treated Without Colonoscopy?

Hello Doctor,i am supposed to do a colonoscopy this Friday,am 48,male,the reason I want to do it is I hace constant anal itching(dunno if its psoriasis,eczema,hemmoroids,pineworms,but once I had two lumps in inner rectum and also I had some anal sex some years ago with somebody who was not really clean,is it a good idea for me to do colonoscopy?

Hi,
Seeing the history and symptoms you require colonoscopy to come to on proper diagnosis of your problem.
This can be due to hemorrhoids, anal warts or some space occupying lesion in colon.
After proper diagnosis plan of treatment can be made.
