Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
Hi As oer my last period cycle, I was supposed to get my periods on 7th June. Its been 12days that my periods are now delayed. I had a cyst in my right ovary which got dissolved by taking tablets for 2 months. However this month I dint get any. Also, I am trying to conceive. I was suggested Regestron for 3 days. As per my gyanaec I should expect my periods till this coming Friday. I tested for pregnancy (11 june and then on 13june) but it was negative I would like to know if Even after all this Co uld it be possible that I am pregnant and It dint get through the UPT test.
Thanks for your question on Healthcare Magic. I can understand your concern. Yes, you can be pregnant despite of negative pregnancy tests. Pregnancy tests detect beta HCG levels in urine. In early pregnancy, beta HCG is low and hence it can not be detected by tests. So you should go for ultrasound examination to confirm pregnancy. If ultrasound show gestational sac then you are confirmed pregnant. But if gestational sac is absent then you are not pregnant. Possibility of hormonal imbalance is more likely for your failure to conceive. Hope I have solved your query. I will be happy to help you further. Wish you good health. Thanks.
