Can An IUD's Presence In Placenta (misplaced) Cause Cerebral Dyplegia In Fetus?

I have a daughter 45 years of age. When I conceived in 1968, I had a birth control device called an "I U D"--however the IUD travelled up into the uterus, and came out in the placenta after a full term pregnancy. My daughter was born healthy, but had weakness in a limb, a neurologist diagnosed her as having cerebral dyplegia. At age 12, she developed scoliosis--bad "s" curve--however went on to train as a nurse (R.N.) received her BSc. in nursing, but she lives with a badly turned in left foot and a smaller left leg and two sizes difference in shoe size. Do you know, or can you attribute any of this to having an IUD in the placenta for those 9 months? I hemorrhaged for one day in the 3rd month--could have lost her--

Hi. It is really painful to know about this. But I would like to tell you that IUD insertion causes no such birth defects in fetus even if pregnancy occurs with IUD in situ. The only harmful effects if not removed can be sepsis, preterm labour or miscarriage and not such birth defects.
Thanks.
