Can An Epidural Injection Taken For Lumbar Radiculopathy Cause Ankle Edema?

I had an uneventful epidural steroid injection for Rt L5 radiculopathy 36 hrs ago at an academic med center. This eve I noticed some mild ankle edema, +1 on left and +2 on right. Is this expected? I have scoliosis and mild autonomic dysfunction, no major heart or kidney issues. Can numbing the nerve cause edema? I have some Rt hip pain probably normally expected and feel fine otherwise.
