Can Alzheimer S Patients Continue To Donate Blood?

I have been recently diagnosed with early onset Alzheimer disease. I have been an 0 negative blood donor for many years. Should I continue to donate blood? I do not want to pass this disease on to someone else receiving my blood donation. I am still physically healthy, however, my cognitive skills have somewhat declined and I have stopped working from my job as an Information technology manager at a major manufacturing facility in the USA.

Donating blood should never be an issue for a patient diagnosed with Alzheimer's Disease unless you have a blood borne infection or other problem that precludes your donation. If you would, however, like to talk more about your diagnosis of early AD and as a result have had to retire from your work I'd be happy to engage you in discussions or another opinion. Please contact me at: www.bit.ly/drdariushsaghafi

Happy Holidays...

P.S. I believe in donating blood....members of our family have benefited greatly from such generous souls as yourself. We make it a point to pay it forward whenever we can. Please rate this encounter with 5 STARS on exit.
