Can Althea Pills Cause Yeast Infection?
I have just started on my 2nd pack of althea pills. 3 weeks into my first pack, I had yeast infection which seemed to go away when i had my period, and came back soon after my period. I ve always used injectable contraceptive and never had this ibefction before. Im wondering if this is related with me using althea pills. Should i stop using althea?

Welcome to HCM and thank you for the query.
Yeast infection is not a recognized side effect of Althea or any OCP.
If you are having recurrent yeast infection, you should check your blood sugar to know whether you have diabetes.
Another cause would be local hygiene. You can take 150 mg of Flucanazole orally once a week till it goes off. Give a dose to your sexual partner also.
I think you can continue using Althea.
