Can Accidental Injecting Of Tuberculin Cause TB?

What happens if tuberculin is accidentally injected into a vein in the forearm? Will it give the patient tb? A patient came in today, that started crying when I was about to give her this shot. I didn t remember to aspirate until I had given her half of the serum, because she was freaking out. No,this cant cause tuberculosis since tuberculin is not activa nor live bacterias. This is just part of bacterial proteins and it cant lead to an infection so you dont need to be worried. Even if this went inot larger blood vessel it will cause same immune reaction as if this was applier normally.
