Can Abnormal Ekg Prevent Having A Tummy Tuck?

I m having a tummy tuck soon but due to my excitement of getting this procedue done my blood pressure was 174/100 but went down a little lower when the nurse immediately took it again. My blood pressure was normal at my regular doctor s visit 120/70 the week before. The plastic surgeon s office wants me to go have a EKG done because of high blood pressure. I am on blood pressure medication and have been for about 20 years. I did have an ECHO test in May and that came back normal and the cardiovascular doctor released me with no further followup. This was due to a faint hear murmur my primary physician heard in February. Would an EKG, let s say it is abnormal, would that keep me from having a tummy tuck? I am a good candidate for a tummy tuck so my plastic surgeon said. All of my labs were normal except I have been a little on the low side with blood sodium level for about 6 years now and had been low as 128 back in 2005. It s now 131 on my lab report this year and 95 with blood chloride level this year. Gluclose was 100 but I am not diabetic. What are my chances of having this tummy tuck? Does the doctor just want to know the risks if there are any? I m 59 year old female.

Thanks for your question on HCM.
I can understand your situation and problem.
Yes, doctor is doing all these tests to avoid unwanted complications during and after surgery.
Liposuction (tummy tuck) operation done in general anaesthesia. So patient needs to have good Cardio respiratory reserve to withstand surgical stress.
Since your 2d echo is normal, no need to worry. You will be fit for surgery.
And no need to worry for slightly lower sodium level. Obese patients tend to have slightly lower sodium level. So don't worry about it.
You will be fit for surgery.
