Can A Tension Headache Cause A Pulse Like Feeling Over The Eyebrow?
I constantly have headaches and feel some type of uncomfortable pressure in my forehead. I have told many doctors over the years about it and have been told its just tension headaches, but recently I've also been having a painful pulse like feeling right above my right eyebrow. It lasts about five or ten seconds and goes away, and it happens once or twice a day. Is this still considered a tension headache? And why does it seem like doctors never want to help me out with my headache problem?
your symptom of pulsatile headache ( above eyebrows) resembles more of migraines. moreover, even if it is tension headache mainly, it has to be managed.
I have seen such chronic cases responding nicely to either topirol or amitryptalline drugs. Along with this, one has to take a good pain killer when there is an acute attack ( like - tapentadol/ amlotryptan etc). The treatment should ideally continue for some time even after the attack stop. This will help the nerves get some test and heal properly. ## do get your blood pressure checked to rule out high BP which might cause head aches.
