Can A Surgery Cure Diplopia?

My name is Sam and I have MS. for the last year I ve had severe diplopia. When I look at something with my left (dominate) eye, my right eye looks off to the right and a little lower. Likewise if I force my right eye to look at something, My left eye looks to the left and a lower. Can surgery fix this?
