Can A Sore Throat Cause Dizziness?

Hi, I recently got a weird sensation in the back of my throat, and I knew that I d be getting a sore throat. This morning, my throat was hurting pretty badly, and now, all of a sudden, I feel lightheaded. What could be the cause of my being lightheaded? Also, I have eaten a full meal and some snacks today and plenty of fluids, so the lightheaded-ness surprises me. Thanks, Zach

Hello ,

Thanks for consulting HCM

I have read your query and understand your concern . As far as sore throat and dizziness is concerned this can be due to throat infection or viral infection . For this I will suggest you to consult ENT surgeon for clinical examination and evaluation . Inmeantime do warm saline rinses 2 to 3 times a day and you can take medicine like Azithromycin or Allegra by consulting with local doctor .

Hope this will help you .
