Can A Sex Change Procedure Permit Keeping Both Sex Organs?

Hi I have a friend that was born with both sexes. While they were a baby they had an operation which removed their female organs. Now from what they said I believe they want to have both organs back. Is there a sex change procedure that would allow them to keep both organs?

Hello and welcome.

It is indeed unconventional and most sex change surgeries are to transform from one sex to another. It would be difficult to operate and keep both organs as this can result in infertility and possibly even self-fertility, I do not really know what the consequences would be, but a hormone level maintenance and so on would be very difficult, and close to impossible.

I would not recommend it and honestly do not know if such surgeries are even conducted anywhere around the world, or their purpose.

Hope this helps.

Best wishes.
