Can a persons heart stop without reason ?

I keep having this feeling that my heart can just stop for no reason, I was wondering if anyone has heard of that happening, it could just be because I have anxiety problems though.

It can just stop, but there is always a reason, even if it is not readily apparent

Hi! I hope to find someone who can help me with a mysterious condition. I m 33 years old and ever since I can remember (childhood) I cannot read aloud without becoming winded (after a full page I d be noticeably breathless). It was also tiring for me to sing aloud and even to talk nonstop for more than a few minutes, as in giving a speech, nor was I ever able to run much. My parents never took these complaints seriously because I seemed very healthy otherwise and I eventually had two pregnancies and births without complications. Anyway, recently there was a tragedy in my family and I became depressed and unable to sleep, the reason why this is relevant is I ve noticed that when I haven t slept at night and attempt to go about my day anyhow, the dyspnea becomes so bad I cannot speak 3 words without having to stop and catch my breath, this is sometimes accompanied by a slight pain/pressure in the sternum. Then, oddly, after I get enough rest (8+ hours), the severe dyspnea and chest pain stop (even though the more minor symptoms I ve had since youth remain). From all of this, I m leaning toward heart disease (lung disease doesn t get better after rest, does it?). I suppose my question would be, what type of heart disease is this likely to be? and, is it possible I have always had this (my history of dispnea as a child) and it went undiagnosed during checkups (I recently gave birth to 2 children and no one noticed anything unusual)? Thank you for any thoughts on this matter!

What kind of medication would you recommend to help a person with heart irregularity? A person I am talking about has a problem of irregular heart beating. The pulse is quite strong, but there is a strong uneveness of the time between the beats (because of which the heart stabilizer was installed and used). After its installation the pulse became less strong and quite even, but the strenghth of pulse became a little uneven. My question is: what kind of medication, if any would you recommend to improve functioning of the heart? Thanks very much in advance! There were conduction problems, which were leading to irregularities I mentioned above. This person had emotional shocks in the past, which had caused heart abnormalities. This person suspectedly had several heart attacks, one of which led to a clinical death. When this happened, this person was reanimated (10 minutes after the heart stopped). When I talk about improving functioning of the heart , I mean optimization of its work so that person feels good. The installed pacemaker is an atrioventricular one. The person suffers from the pace slowering.

I have been feeling very jittery for two days now. No caffeine, no meds. Didn't sleep at all last night because of it. Feel like my heart is racing. I am prone to anxiety and have shortness of breath as well as sharp stomach pains that come and go. Also have had dizzy spells for a few months that happen a couple of times each week. Went to ER two years ago for dizziness and shortness of breath and they found nothing.

hi, i am a 22 year old male, for the past month or so i have been experiencing pain in the left side of my chest, this radiates more around the back where my shoulder blade is. It can be described as a nipping/dull ache.
I am an occasional smoker, only when i have had alcohol, however i used to smoke quite regularly from 12 year old until around 16/17 year old so this may be a factor.
i work in an office which means i sit at a desk for around 8 hours a day, this could also be a factor i assume.
i have quite a lot of mucus in my throat on a morning, however it is usually clear in colour and i'm assuming it is more to do with the dry air in my workplace as an air conditioning unit is on next to me all day.
The pain doesn't worsen when i take a deep breath either, it is quite sporadic and comes and goes when it feels like.
i have also been diagnosed with social anxiety, and I have heard that chest pains can be caused due to anxiety.
i look forward to your response as i am getting myself quite worried.
