Can A Patient Of Multiple Sclerosis Get A Permanent Eyeliner?

I want Permanent eyeliner. Essentially a tattoo, but I found out the ink has iron oxides which is bad in an MRI machine. I have MS and want to get the eyeliner but am afraid it will effect my eyes more than the MS already has if I get it done then get an MRI. Should I get the permanent eyeliner ?

Hello!

I read your question and understand your concern.
A permanent eyeliner can cause several sensations during MRI procedure, but all the mentioned cases in the literature are mild burning sensations and not a severe medical condition.
In rare cases a burning of the skin has been reported, and the MRI procedure has been interrupted.
I would recommend you not to have this kind of cosmetic intervention, to avoid possible problems with MRI in the future.
I would advise you to try to find other alternative solutions to your beauty problems.
Hope to have been helpful!
Best wishes!
