Can a heart murmur get worse?

I was diagnosed with a heart murmur a year ago by my internist. I saw my another doctor today that I have been seeing for over a year and he heard it today for the first time. Can a heart murmur get worse? Should I be concerned?

Murmurs are sounds produced due to pathology of valves of heart as the pathology worsens of the valves so the murmurs too.
