Can A Faint Line Shown In HPT Indicate A Positive Pregnancy?
Me n my husband had unprotected ic during the 12 day of my cycle hence I thought I wouldn't get pregnant. But my period is late n my upt shows negative when I tried it the second time it showed a very very faint positive line. Im really confused n I dont want this pregnancy. Wat am I supposed to do if my next upt shows positive? Please help .Thank you
Hi and welcome to HCM. Unprotected sexual intercourse anytime between 12-18 day in a cycle can lead to pregnancy, as day of ovulation varies in different individuals. Even a fain line in UPT is considered positive. The most preffered time for doing UPT is by using early morning urine sample, at this time HCG concentration will be maximum and chances of positive test result is high. I suggest you to do one more UPT using early morning sample and if it comes positive please contact a local obstetrician for help. Since you dont want to continue pregnancy their are safe methods of termination which should be taken under medical supervision. Use a good birth control method like condom or oral contraceptive pills if you are not planning for a baby. The calendar method which you are using has a high failure rate. All the best
