Usually female population is naturally relatively protected during reproductive age say 15 to 45 years but this is not 100% so there are many cases at younger age also commom predisposing factors could be Smoking, bad family history,Lipid disorders, some coagulation disorder and some times long term use of Oral contraceptive may be culprit. But at 19 years you should take a medical check up.If nothing significant then play some sport and pay attention to studies. If by chance smoking is there quit it.

Yes, I know of a couple people on the forum that I run that have had a heart attack due to Antiphospholipid Antibody Syndrome. Are you currently having symptoms??

I am a 33 yr old female and I swear I have heart issues. I have had so many test done for my heart and everything has come back 100% normal. i have had countless number of EKG s I have a 48 heart montior I had a echo of my heart. my bp is a little high (bottom number in the low 80 s) my cholesterol total is 166. I do suffer from panic/anxiety and my Dr (bless his heart he is awesome) says all the things I feel is related to my panic not heart. Is there really anything else they could do to test my heart or did I pretty get everything? My doc said he wouldn t send me for a cardic cath cuz everything else was fine. Yes I do take meds to my panic attacks.

ok, my grandfather had heart problems but not till his 30 s or 40 s, my dad hasnt had any yet, although he does have high cholesterol. im 19, and i have these sharp pains in my chest, usually toward the center, maybe every few weeks, and today they went from there to my left shoulder, and then up the left side of my neck. it wasnt anything that made me drop to my knees or anything, but it deffinetly stopped me, is this a heart attack? and i did smoke for maybe a year as well, and when i do exercise, i find myself unusually breathless, as i used to be very energetic a few years back, but it seems as if i dont have half the breath i used to have.

I have seen two doctors for chest pain. I have had stress test tilt table test and angiogram done. One doctor says that it is coronary artery spasms and the other says its angina. I quit my stressful job, and haven t had an attack in awhile. But in the last week I have had two attack. They seem to be getting worse. I went to the ER for this last one and they said everything looked ok. Can you have a mini heart attack and not know? I am still experiencing chest pain, but don t want to go back to the ER.

hello. was wondering if i should be concerned. my mother has atrial fibrillation as was given digoxin and metroprolol a few weeks ago. a cardiologist that checked her two days ago said that her heart rate is to slow & that those drugs weren t helping (she was feeling dizzy upon exertion...i.e walking 2-3 mins). now her heart is racing (approx 100-105 bpm and i m concerned. she says she feels fine but does this mean she s at increased risk of heart attack or stroke?
