Can Zyrtec And Aspirin Be Taken Together?

I thought that when I entered my medication list, I could find out if there were any interactions but I didn t see how to do that so I wanted to find out if zyrtec interacts with aspirin 81 mg., pravastatin, pepcid, and my prn meds --occasional pepto bismol or lomotil, oxybutynin, benedryl. Dear Marsha, Hi & Welcome.

Yes, Zyrtec and Aspirin can be taken together as there's no harmful interaction between the two prescribed medications.

Similarly medications like Pravastatin, Pepcid, Oxybutynin also do not interact with Zyrtec hence can be taken together safely.

However, there can be harmful interactions if Zyrtec is taken along with Lomotil and Benadryl as it may increase drowsiness, sleepiness, impaired concentration and thinking, and motor incoordination which can be harmful if involved in activities requiring mental alertness such as driving or operating certain machines. It may also cause blurring of the vision, dry mouth, increase in heart beats, constipation, retention of urine, etc.

So, it's better to avoid taking Lomotil and Benadryl as long as you take Zyrtec.
