Can Wellbutrin Cause Nausea And Dizziness?

I ve been on wellbutrin sr for 8 weeks - never felt exactly right since I started it. Been on Lexapro or Cymbalta for years for anxiety and depression, but switched to try to lose some weight. About two weeks ago I started feeling nauseous, the thought of food made me gag (I m not pregnant). At times I feel dizzy, which contributes to the nausea. I feel worse when I m at work or away from my family (my daughter is about to start kindergarten in 10 days). Is this wellbutrin? Anxiety? or something else?

Hello and thanks for your question. The nausea and dizziness that you describe can be side effects of the wellbutrin. Anxiety can contribute to these sensations if you are feeling anxious. Cymbalta and Lexapro can treat anxiety as well as depression but wellbutrin is just for depression so it is possible that being on it alone has increased your anxiety level. It would be best to talk to your doctor about these symptoms and see if you need to be switched back to the other medication.
