Can Warfarin Cause Late Period?

I had a PE a month ago and was treated in hospital with levonox shots and warfarin. I had just finished my period when I entered the hospital. It was determined that my birth control is what caused my PE. I have yet to have a period since I have been on the Warfarin and I was wondering if it could affect this?

Internal Medicine Specialist 's  Response
Hello,

No, warfarin does not cause late period at all. Actually it causes excessive bleeding.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
