Can Vyvanse Affect Alcohol Appetite?

I just started taking Vyvanse and took a 30 ml Vyvanse at 11am and met some friends for some unexpected drinks at 3:30 on a Friday afternoon. I was extremely drunk after only two glasses of windw and don t remember going to two bars. My friends claim I drank very little (one more beer and ordered a drink I didn t even touch at the last place) but I was visibly VERY drunk. I am an experienced drinker and can usually handle decent amounts of alcohol well. Is this common?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Yes Vyvanse a drug for Autistic disorders can be associated with alcohol intolerance. Vyvanse can reduce the amount of alcohol intake, can lead to mental black-out. A person under vyvanse should avoid drinking alcohol at all costs. The effects experienced are series of reactions that will build up to even worse problems. Alcohol can only be consumed when the effects of vyvanse wear off and this usually happens around 12 hours after taking it in.
It can also cause increased heart rate, chest pain, or blood pressure changes, when taken with alcohol.
