Can Viagra Be Taken While On Bisoprolol Fumarate And Rosuvastatin?

Dear Doctor, I am 55 years old, and have been taking 2.5 mg of bisoprolol fumarate for the last six years. I have also been prescribed Rosuvastatin (10 mg) once a day, which I have been taking for the past one week. Can I take Viagra, and if yes what is the dosage ?

Hi,

It is not advisable to take Viagra while on Bisoprolol. If taken along with Bisoprolol, Viagra can cause additive effects in the blood pressure-lowering effect of Biisoprolol.

You need to contact your doctor immediately if you experience signs and symptoms of low blood pressure such as dizziness, fainting, flushing, headache, or a rapid pulse or heart rate.

You may be more likely to experience these problems at the beginning of treatment, following a dose increase, or when treatment is restarted after an interruption.
