Can Unwanted 72 Be Taken To Prevent Pregnancy?

Hi doctor i had sex before 2 days and my date of periods is near around 27 28 .we had used condom but i suppose tha burst so what should i do shall i take the Unwanted 72 of Mankind is it safe..or does it create any problem in my period cycle.Plz revert

Hello,

You had penetrative sex and the condom broke, so you had open sex. Yes, unwanted 72 does help to prevent pregnancy. Any medicines, contraceptive pills or emergency contraceptive pills do have side effects and they can affect your normal menstrual cycle.

Emergency contraceptive pill (unwanted 72) is a one time pill and gives protection once against unprotected penetrative sex. Unwanted 72 should be taken within 72 hours of unprotected sex for the best efficacy. Stay away from addictions if any. Always perform safe sex for protection against sexually transmitted diseases and avoid multiple partners.
