Can Umbilical Hernia Cause Weight Loss?

I have high blood pressure and for two months it has been extremely high,I was finally able to see a cardiologist, he has got it at a safe level with valsartan,but I have all the symptoms of a umbilical hernia. Could it be my problem? I have lost about ten pounds and my episodes are less now,and no acid reflux at this time
