Can Trazodone Or Xanax Be Taken Along With Ambien For Sleeping Difficulty?

I took my first 5mg tablet of ambien last night. Slept for about6 1/2 hrs. Tonight took dose at 10 and have been restless and unable to fall asleep after 2 hours. Had been taking Trazodone 50 mg. for 4 years and it was becoming infected ineffective. Would it be ok to take an Trazodone or half of a Xanax ?

Hello,

The Trazodone is alprazolam (benzodiazepine) used for sleep disorders and anxiety depression purpose. The Ambien is short acting sedative hypnotic used for various insomnia conditions. You can consume both of them, preferably at an interval of 1 hour or more.
