Can Toradol Be Taken For Migraine Headaches?

My daughter is having severe headaches. been to the ER and did blood work, ekg, chest x-ray, CT. was given a shot which helped with headache some but still did not go away. Went to the Dr today and got a shot of toradol. Does this sound like migraines and should we see a specialist?

Hello
It seems from the history that you are having migraine and you were treated with toradol. Toradol is a non steroidal antiinflammatory drug and it acts as analgesic drug to relieve pain and inflammation.
This treatment is sufficient for acute attack of migraine for symptomatic relief.
However if the attacks are recurrent you need to take prophylactic drugs like flunarizine or beta blockers like propranolol.
