Can Timolol Maleate And Dorzolamide Be Taken Together?

I have lost track of my Latanaprost Glaucoma bedtime medication and am leaving on 2-week trip early tomorrow. I do have some unused Timolol Maleate. I also take Dorzolomide for the Glaucoma in the morning. Would it be okay if used the Timolol evenings while away. Any contraindication for using these two meds in the same day? Or, is it okay to use the Dorzolomide both in the morning and at bedtime? Thanks, so much! Jim Riedle

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

Both medications are used to treat glaucoma. They can be applied together. However, it's better to give brake of 5 minutes between applications of them.

Both acts by different mechanism and do not have interactions. But why you want to use three glaucoma medications at a time?

Besides, before using old Timolol drops, please check expiry date.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Hiren Hirpara
