Hello Anne.
Let me explain that , what is tuberculosis ( it is infection caused by mycobacteria tubercular ) , while bronchitis (complicated ) is infection of bronchi caused by many or single bacteria as heamophilus influenza, streptococcus or moxella catarrhalis.
While uncomplicated bronchitis is caused by virus known as viral while other is non-viral.
As you stated that both of you got infection simultaneously , so these symptoms may be due to uncomplicated bronchitis like viral or non-viral .
However if tuberculosis is untreated it is infectious and can spread from person to person.
When such patient visit I prescribe terbutalin syrup and paracetamol ( if viral ) . If bacterial levofloxacin 750 mg / day for 3 days.
Hope this information will help you.
Good luck.
