Can Susten 200mg Cause Fever?
Hi Doc, I am undergoing my second IVF (FET) after the first failed. Same as in the last cycle, i am getting 38-39 degree celcius fever from the day I start taking susten 200mg injection. Is this normal? I have my transfer scheduled for this friday but have been running a temperature since yesterday. It usually subsides in the morning but come backs in the evening

Susten 200 mg injection contains progesterone which is used to restore menstrual cycles in women whose periods have stopped. It is a natural female hormone important for regulating ovulation and menstruation. It is used to treat infertility to help you get pregnant. You should use Susten 200 mg injection as your doctor has advised. It is generally given by a healthcare professional and shouldn't be self administered at home. Don't use more or less than advised by your doctor and don't use it for longer than recommended.
You may be asked to continue taking this medication for a period after it is confirmed that you are pregnant. Mild raised temperature is normal in first 3 months because of high levels of progesterone. Paracetamol is perfectly safe in pregnancy in case of raised temperature or fever. If it is more than 100°F continuously better to visit your doctor once. Don't stop taking this medication despite experiencing any side effects, without consulting your prescribing doctor.
