Can Serelax be taken while on Metoprolol?

Hello, I just started a low dose 12.5 2Xa day of Metroprotol. I suffer from anxiety and it has raised my blood pressure. I recently ordered Serelax to help battle with the anxiety. It contains Kava Root and I was worried about reports I read about liver damage on your sight plus, is it safe to take with the Metroprotol?

Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service. I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.

Serelax is made from natural ingredients and you can take it along with Metoprolol. No drug interactions were reported among these drugs. Keep an eye on Serelax and do not overuse it, at optimal dose it is very safe and side effects are very very minimal.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
