Can Seasonique For Contraception Cause Vaginal Dryness?

I m starting a new birthcontrol Sunday, Seasonique because I ll only get 4 periods a year. After reading the reviews I m not sure if I need to change up. Does everyone on this pill experience vaginal dryness or does it depend on the woman and her health?

OBGYN 's  Response
Hello,

Vaginal dryness is not necessarily an observed feature in everyone using this medication. As the vaginal fluid is made thicker to stop free movement of the sperm by using the drug, some dryness may be experienced. It is an individual variation.

However, I would ask you to get a proper evaluation before you start using the medication and also get a periodical evaluation for side effects as a routine safety precaution.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Shanti Vennam,
