Can Ranitidine Cause Foul Smelling Stool In A Child?
Can ranitidine cause green, pasty and foul smelling poo in a 5 week old baby. My daughter is 5 weeks old, weighs 4.3kgs, is exclusively formula fed and takes 0.4ml of ranitidine id one 3 times a day 20 mins before a meal. She is pooing once every 36-48 hours, and looks as if she is in pain when she poos. Are these side effects of the ranitidine?

Hello dear from my opinion regarding giving your child ranitidine has no relationship with the green feaces it is the meconium he swallowed when inside the womb or defecating bile acid from the stomach No side effects of ranitidine.
