Can Quetiapine Fumarate And Doxylamine Succinate Be Taken Together?

I have just had total knee replacement 3 weeks ago. I do not want to continue Percocet. I am not sleeping . I take Quetipind Fumarate 50mg but it is not helping at all. Would it be safe to take doxylamine succinctness also? I have tried melatonin and Aleve PM with no results. I am very weary . Any other suggestions?

Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service. I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.

You can continue Quetiapine. Instead of Doxylamine, you can go for Zolpidem once daily at bed time. This will take care of your sleep. Regarding Percocet, avoid taking it with Quetiapine. For better pain relief, you can go for NSAIDs like Aceclofenac once daily. Caution : NSAIDs are not recommended in renal failure, age >60yrs.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
