Can Piriton Be Taken Instead Of Fexofenadine-Hcl To Minimize Hay Fever Symptoms?

I usually take fexofenadine hydrochloride tablets (180mg) for my hayfever symptoms which do minimise my hayfever but not remove the symptoms. I have run out if these tablets at the moment and have a doctors appointment in 2 days to get more hayfever stuff. But in the mean time can I use piriton? As it says not to use piriton if you are taking other antihistamines which I have been, my last tablet was yesterday morning, so would I be able to take piriton whilst I m not having fexofenadine? As not sure how long it lasts in the bloodstream Thanks

Hello,

Piriton contains Chlorpheniramine which is an excellent anti histamine medication. It has also excellent anti allergic values in hay fever, allergic rhinitis and bronchitis like conditions. Though there is high chances of sedation and disturbances with work pattern by drowsiness, it is best option against Fexofenadine for time being approach.
