Can Paracetamol Be Taken For Headache During Pregnancy?

Hi, I ve banged my head and I m 25 weeks pregnant, I took two paracetamol straight away because I knew i would end up with a sever headache, anyway it s been over twenty minutes now and I still have a headache is this anything to worry about or will it affect my unborn child? Please this is my first and I just need to know? To put my mind at rest

Hi, thanks for using health care magic..
I understand your concern.. Its safe to have paracetamol during pregnancy.. Do you have hypertension? How was your BP during your routine checkup's? R u on any antihypertensives.. In my opinion, it would be better to consult your doc. Get your BP checked immediately.. If BP is normal, u can take tramadol injection for pain relief. If BP is high, treatment is required depending on the values. A urine albumin also should be done.. Keep a check on the baby movements.. Minimum of 3 movements in an hr for 3 times daily..
