Can PTB Relapse Despite Getting Treated 4 Years Back?

Hi Doc. my name is Naif Dipatuan, I m 20 years old, I once had a TB in 2014 and get cured for 6 months, I just wanna asked about my X-ray result that I had this march 2018, the result was.. Fibrohazed Densities are noted in the right upper lobe Heart is not enlarged The rest is unremarkable Then the impression was right upper lobe considered PTB undetermined Activity.... suggest clinical correlation What is that mean. I m so worried because our university aren t allowing their students to get enrolled having such kind of disease and besides I don t have cough yet. Thank you for your answer :)

Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service.
I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.

You have suffered previously from tuberculosis and got the cure. Fibrohazed densities are the star mark of tuberculosis. TB lesion after treatment heals with any of the following mechanism: -
1. Fibrosis
2. Calcification
3. Fibro calcification
4. Bronchiectasis
5. Rarely complete resolution.

First three are very common. And these are healed inactive scar tissue which remains as it is throughout your life. So for visa application, you need to prove that these lesions are old, fibrotic scars and not active, infectious lesions. For this, you have to consult pulmonologist and get done.
1. CT thorax with Contrast.
2. Bronchoscopy and XXXXXXX (bronchoalveolar lavage) analysis.

If both these are negative for active tuberculosis, then you can argue with college authority about not having active, infectious disease and thus eligible for admission.
