Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
Dear Doctor, I am doing baby planning and having a ache in inner part(constipation problem) at the moment. A Doctor has prescribed antibiotics Ornidazole 500mg (ORNOF).Please let me know if it is safe to take these considering my condition. Many thanks
As you are just planning to conceive and didn't get pregnant, there is no harm in taking Ornidazole.
However, your description is suggestive of constipation problem which usually not require antibiotics like Ornidazole drug.
Constipation is treated by taking Isabgol or liquid paraffin at night, have a high fiber diet. Do regular exercise or walking and drink 1 to 2 glasses of warm water in the morning just after getting up from the bed.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards, Dr. Hiren Hirpara
