Can Norco And Ibuprofen Cause Blood In Stool?

I got 2 days that i notice blood on the toilletee paper.i check my stool but didn t find blood.i notice that my stool been coming out a little black gor the last 3 weeks to a month. I m thinking it s from pills. I m taking norco and ibuprofen for like 10 days....

Yes, these drugs may cause bleeding from mucosal surfaces if there is already a blood problem. Clotting disorders, vit K deficiency and or low platelet counts all add up to the side effects of NSAIDs and may lead to bleeding.


It may also be due to piles, or hemorrhoids. OR anal fissure.


Consult a General Surgeon for Proctoscopy, colonoscopy evaluation and some blood work to see what is the cause of the disease. Treatment goes according to the cause.
