Can Neosporin Be Used To Treat Painless Bump In The Vaginal Area?

I have a boil on my panty line that came up 03/19 a day after shaving. It is about the size of a dime. It is not painful, but of of course I am concerned. The first day, I put neosporin and a bandaid on it. The next day, I applied warm compresses and squeezed it while showering. It didn t drain and again, I am not in pain. Since then, I read not to squeeze it, so I ve just been keeping it clean and letting it breathe. I m wearing baggy shorts withou underwear to keep it from being Irritated. Do I need to take any other action or should I just give it some time? Also, my bowel movements have been darker than normal for 48 hours and I don t know if that is related to this or not.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,

You seem to have enlarged inguinal lymph node as a reaction to minor injury while shaving/due to some other infection/inflammation in the drained area of the lymph node (, feet, legs, thigh or genital area) It would go as the basic lesion heals well. The lesion needs to be found and treated.

Hope I have answered your query.
Let me know if I can assist you further.
