General & Family Physician 's  Response
Dear Archana, Hi & Welcome.
I understand your concern regarding the role of antibiotic in viral fever.

Moxikind CV Forte (Amoxicillin & Clavulanic acid) is usually indicated for the treatment of bacterial infections such as respiratory tract infection, etc.
Antibiotics like Moxikind CV have actually no role in the treatment of viral fever since these medications can not kill the virus responsible for the infection.
However, sometimes they are prescribed to prevent the secondary bacterial infection. Vizylac Tablet is a probiotic which is commonly used to treat antibiotic associated diarrhea.
Had I been his treating doctor I would not have prescribed for the fever for just one day duration. Just give him Meftagesic every 6-8 hrly along with plenty of oral fluids and tepid sponging. If fever does not subside get him examined by his treating doctor for further evaluation.
Hope this will help.
