hello, my 8yr old son, 18kgs with quadriplegic cerebral palsy, reactive airway disease and dandy walker syndrome is on peg feeding of pediasure every 3 hrs then with continuous peg feeding from 11pm-8am. my child also takes omeprazole once a day, pediavit once a day, and baclofen three times a day via peg. he s also on nebulization of pulmicort twice a day and ventolin every 6 hours. my question is its about 3 days that he s not able to pass stools, but he s able to pass gas and burp. we have movicol here but we re not sure if its ok for him, and how about the time it should be given to him, is it safe with baclofen and other of his oral meds? thank you very much.

Hello,

* The Movicol liquid or sachet contains Polyethylene glycol used as osmotic laxative in many conditions of chronic constipation.

* The same can be consumed with Baclofen for constipation without any drug interaction or side effects.

However, if you have any further doubts, you are always welcome for further discussion in this regard.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
Dr. Bhagyesh V. Patel
